Worksafe and SEIU present a new report - "Aguántate" -- which finds that nearly three quarters of California fast food workers face excessive heat and other health-threatening hazards on the job.
The fast-food industry’s notoriously hazardous working conditions, coupled with temperatures over 90+ degrees and limited benefits, leave workers feeling sick and exhausted, often needing medical attention. When workers are forced to choose between paying their rent and paying for basic household necessities like food and clothing, even a small medical bill or losing a few days of work can be difficult.
