Every single day, at least one California worker is killed on the job.

Each April, Worksafe releases Dying at Work in California to bear witness to the human toll of unsafe and unhealthy work. Its release coincides with Workers Memorial Day, an international day of remembrance for workers who have been hurt and killed by work.

Preventable workplace hazards harm thousands of California workers each year, and far too many of these incidents result in a worker's death. With this report, we remember the lives that have been lost, and we highlight opportunities for improving worker health and safety in California.
